Making a Difference
Make A Mark was established in 1993 as a non-profit, humanitarian program focused on making a
positive difference in the lives of our global neighbors. Thanks to the hard work and
generosity of a number of people who have contributed physically and financially, Make A Mark
has been successful in building clinics, schools and orphanages in developing countries throughout
the world.
Current Make a Mark projects:
Make A Mark is currently working with a global coalition of partners to build self-sustaining, intergenerational village communities for children, orphans, and elders affected by the devastating AIDS pandemic. The first village, Nyumbani Village, is located in Kitui, Kenya. Currently, there are 32 houses built, which will house children and elders, and construction has began on an administration police post, a primary school, community center, guesthouse, and water treatment center, as well as an additional 28 houses. By March 2006, Nyumbani Village will be home to over 300 children and elders.
Past Make A Mark projects:
Nyumbani Orphanage
Nyumbani is home for abandoned HIV positive children in Karen, Kenya. Make A Mark
provided funding to build staff quarters to house individuals who care for
abandoned children. Currently, the Nyumbani Orphanage houses more than 80
children and 52 staff members.

The Village of the Vulnerable is a self-sustaining community in Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa that simulates a family setting for many elderly and young children that are left without support due to the middle generation succumbing to AIDS. Make A Mark provided the funds needed for the residential building, a small barn for cows, and a chicken house.
The Street Children of Rio Di Janeiro
Mark A Mark partnered with a local organization called "The Road to Citizenship" to build a shelter that offers a caring environment, food, and educational opportunities to the street children who are forced into child prostitution, theft and drugs to survive. Through our support, the children can now learn about youth leadership, personal hygiene, sex education, social politics, and much more.
Noel Group also worked on the following projects:
- Built a hospital wing in Rostov-Veliky, Russia
- Rebuilt a kindergarten in war-ravaged Klipi, Croatia
- Created a computer lab for low income students in Eleuthera, Bahamas
