  • Noel Group established by President and CEO John Noel and his wife Patty

  • Travel Guard International started in the basement of Noel’s house.

  • 1993
  • Make a Mark foundation is established to work on sustainable development solutions to support and enable children affected by the global AIDS pandemic

  • 1995
  • John attends Covey Leadership Program and brings it into the Noel Group

  • 1996
  • Noel Compass Scholarship Program created to help encourage and reward academic achievement, leadership and citizenship among students of color in Wisconsin’s urban communities. The program is a privately funded initiative that offers an academic scholarship to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and a paid internship within the Noel Group offices

  • Noel Group Employee of the Future Program established and launched to promote leadership and career opportunities within the company

  • 1997
  • Make A Mark becomes involved with the Nyumbani Orphanage in Karen, Kenya to care for HIV-infected orphans

  • 1998
  • Travel Guard International expands globally through acquisition of Mercury International and Pan American Assistance and quickly becomes a leader in emergency travel assistance

  • 1999
  • Compass Properties, Noel Group’s property management company was formed
  • Make A Mark Foundation helped to start the Ntokozweni Village, a self-sustaining community in Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa, that simulates a family setting for many elderly and young children that are left without support due to the middle generation succumbing to AIDS.
  • John and Patty Noel are awarded the Franklin Covey Humanitarian Award

  • 2000
  • Noel Group receives “Family Friendly” Award from the Wisconsin Portage County Business Council
  • CallForce contact center solutions is established
  • Noel Group receives “Decree of Excellence Award” from the Portage County Business Council

  • 2001
  • UWSP names the Noel Fine Arts Center after John and Patty Noel

  • 2002
  • Noel Group acquires MultiNational Underwriters
  • John and Patty Noel are awarded “The Hometown Hero Award” by Wisconsin State Representative Julie Lassa

  • 2003
  • Noel Group recognized as an Exemplary Employer by the State of Wisconsin
  • Noel Group named as one of Working Mother Magazine’s “100 Best”
  • Noel Group recognized as a business education partner by the State Superintendent

  • 2005
  • Noel Group launches MyAssist a world class assistance and concierge service

  • 2006
  • Noel Group sells its Travel Guard International and Marathon Travel divisions to Chartis Insurance

  • 2007
  • Noel Group launches Insure America an errors and omissions insurance brokerage focused on the travel industry.

  • 2008
  • Noel Group sells MultiNational Underwriters to Houston Casualty

  • 2010
  • Noel Group rebrands to represent a focus on the future
